RWC Author Gets Into the Minds of Cops

Ellen Kirschman will discuss her new book, "Burying Ben" at the Redwood City Library on Wed., Sept. 25 at 7:00 p.m.

As a police psychologist for 30 years, Ellen Kirschman gained special insight into the minds of law enforcement officers. As an author, Kirschman applies that insight into her mystery writing.

Kirschman, of Redwood City, spent 25 years at the Palo Alto Police Department as its Health Resources Coordinator.  She has recently released her debut work of fiction and she will be appearing at four local bookstores to discuss her new book, Burying Ben.

Before turning her talents to writing fiction, Kirschman had written three successful books in the area of public safety psychology Burying Ben was published this month by Aakenbaaken & Kent, and it is the first book in her Dot Meyerhoff Mystery series. She is a member of the Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and a contributor to the Mystery Readers Journal. 

Kirschman will make four Bay Area appearances to discuss her book, including one on her home turf, the Redwood City Library on Sept. 25.
