The second annual Bay Area Belly Festival took over Angelica's Bistro Sunday with colorful dance and music.

Redwood City's Angelica's Bistro resembled a harem for the 2nd Annual Bay Area Belly Festival on Sunday, where the dance and music flowed continuously throughout the afternoon.

Belly dancing is a colorful art form derived in part from near-eastern folk dances. The dancers and muscians, while skilled and talented, also have fun and reap healthy benefits from the non-impact execise.

The event web site provides information and links to many of the professional dance studios and workshops that were part of the festival, as well as the vendors that provided the elaborate outfits, accesories and instruments.
