Photo Challenge: Where in Milpitas?

Test your knowledge of Milpitas by guessing what the subject in this photo is, and where it is located.

At first glance, this painted concrete sphere looks like a giant bowling ball. Or, maybe it’s a cannonball.

Here’s a hint: its part of a larger structure that greets visitors to one of the busiest areas of town.

Is it part of one of the statues of children playing in front of city hall?

Is that ball something left over from the old Serra bowling alley in Milpitas? I can't remember what street it was on; near Highway 680.

I think it is the top of an Iron fence post. Maybe at a government building? My guess is City Hall. I think these challenges are a great idea. Hope you keep it up.
