Jazz Mondays on Main closes out its 2011 season with the combined talents of the three of the Bay Areas best horn players. Three Horns, no limits will present five time grammy nominated trombonist Wayne Wallace, celebrated flugelhornist/trumpeter John Worley and the extremely versatile Kristen Strom on saxophone. Combined with a stellar rhythm section these Bay Area talents will cover a wide range of jazz styles all the way from from straight ahead jazz to latin selections.

Trombonist Wayne Wallace's skills as a musician, bandleader, composer and arranger are so revered by his Bay Area musical brethren that he's known, simply, as "the Doctor." Wayne specializes in playing Afro-Caribbean rhythms interlaced with modern jazz harmonies that get you on your feet!!!

John Worley is a trumpet/flugelhorn artist and leader of the Mo Chi Quartet and has been a member in many of the Bay Areas creative music ensembles for last 20+ years. Being adept at a multitude of styles, John has played with many national and international artists in Canada, Europe, Central and North America.

Bay Area saxophonist Kristen Strom has been a mainstay on the Bay Area music scene for nearly two decades, acclaimed for beautifully rendered melodies, exceptional tonality, and accomplished musicianship. She released a highly regarded solo album, Intention, and has recorded and toured the world with several jazz and pop artists.

The Jazz on Main series continues this year, with Main Street hosting outdoor jazz concerts every Monday evening from June 20th through August 15th featuring the Bay Area's very best jazz artists. The jazz is on from 6 - 8 pm, and everyone can enjoy the music, eat at one of the many great restaurants along Main Street, and if the mood strikes – DANCE! The all-star lineup will be sure to make for many jazzed-up Monday evenings on Main Street in Downtown Redwood City’s Historic District.

Along with Jazz on Main, other exciting FREE evening events include: Music on the Square on Fridays, Dancing on the Square on Tuesdays, and Movies on the Square on Thursdays. Other ongoing free events in the coming months include seven special outdoor exhibits featuring Art on the Square, as well as weekend Target Family Days.
