Joey Medina and Friends

GET READY TO LAUGH!

Joey Medina, a Puerto Rican who was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, is one of the freshest and funniest comedians around today. Joey spent most of his teen years perfecting his boxing skills that would one day earn him a state Championship as a professional and a shot at the world title before becoming a heavy-hitter in the comedy arena.

Joey is a veteran of over 50 television appearances and he just completed his own SHOWTIME Comedy Special, “Taking off the Gloves.” He headlines comedy clubs, casinos and theaters throughout the United States and has also toured Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Most recently toured alongside, Russell Peters in New Zealand and Australia where he performed in front of over 36,000 fans.

He also has proudly performed for the US Armed Forces during wartime in Bosnia Kosovo, Kuwait and Iraq several times, as well as the USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier. Joey also starred in Paramount Picture’s “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy” with Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, George Lopez and Alex Reymundo.

Recently Joey produced & directed “Cholo Comedy Slam” a brand new comedy and music special hitting stores July 27, 2010. He also starred in “Latin Palooza” – A hilarious DVD that Joey hosted and produced which followed his award winning debut comedy CD “Below the Belt.”

He can also be seen on “Cheech Marin and Friends: Live From South Beach” DVD by Comedy Central and “Comedy on Steroids” & “Nightclub Girls” DVDs both distributed by Laughing Hyena. His first
screenplay, “El Matador” in which he made his directorial debut, swept the 8th Annual East Los Angeles Chicano Film Festival in 2002 by winning Best Film, Best Director and Best Acting awards. The film is currently available on DVD through Maverick Entertainment. Joey wrote,produced and hosted Sí TV’s first scripted television show,
“Circumsized Cinema.”

In addition, Joey is also recognized as one of the hosts and producers of “Loco Comedy Jam,” a stand-up comedy show featuring some of the best Latino comedians in the country on Mun2 Television. He was had a co-staring role in the action-comedy “Zombie Strippers” with Jenna Jameson and Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger).

Latin Style Magazine says “Joey Medina is one of the few comedians that can bridge together urban with mainstream comedy to make his style a hit throughout the country.”

David Lew
As soon as he steps on the stage; he’s home. David Lew was born to entertain. Hailing from Northern California, David has been making fans and friends alike on his travels across the U.S. and the rest of
the world. Recently, he’s been showcased on The Food Network hit Tshow“Throwdown with Bobby Flay.” and was also briefly on season 4 of “Last Comic Standing.”

David is currently in development for an independently produced pilot “David Lew Eats Fancy Foods.”

David is never afraid to tell it like he sees it; “I understand why older women like me: I’m already shaped like a husband” he boasts;
let’s people know that you should always be comfortable in your own skin. His ability to be in the moment on stage and improvise, has
created some of the most genuine and hilarious moments many would admit had EVER happened in front of them.

David Lew is a regular at many Improv comedy clubs across the U.S., Pepper Bellys Comedy and Variety Theater in the Bay Area amongst other venues. David also has had the honor of sharing the stage with an accomplished list of comedians: Craig Robinson (“The Office”, “Hot Tub Time Machine” and “Knocked Up”), Tommy Davidson (“In Living Color, “Black Dynamite”, “Ace Ventura 2), Louis C.K. (FX’s Louie), comedy legend Louie Anderson (Life with Louie on Fox), Shawn Wayans (“Scary Movie”, White Chicks), Bruce Bruce, and Anjelah Johnson.

With his lovable, boyish charm and magnetic smile, audiences everywhere find themselves rooting for this confident underdog. David’s goal is to have every crowd take a break from their daily grind and let them laugh all their worries away.

MANNY MALDONADO

MANNY MALDONADO is recognized as one of the hottest rising Latino comics in the country. In 2007 and 2008 Manny was selected to perform at the "Crown Royal New Latin King of Comedy Tour" with comic legend Paul Rodriguez. He recently appeared on Comedy Central's Comedy Rehab, and was a guest panelist on Dr. Phil.
