Gennifer Choldenko: author of Al Capone Does My Shirts

If your dad was a prison guard and your whole family lived on Alcatraz in the 1930’s, it’s just possible that Al Capone washed your laundry! That’s the premise for Gennifer Choldenko’s award-winning novels Al Capone Does My Shirts, and the sequel Al Capone Shines My Shoes.

Author Gennifer Choldenko will be at the Redwood City Public Library – Downtown on Tuesday, October 4th at 7:00pm. She will talk about her passion, writing, and what she learned about Alcatraz Island while researching her books. She is currently putting the finishing touches on the third, and last, book in the Al Capone series.

Bring your books for Gennifer to sign. Or buy a copy provided by The Reading Bug at the event.
