CSF 2Cellos Charity Benefit Concert

On Sunday, October 14, 2012, 2Cellos will perform at a charity benefit concert at the historic Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California.  The concert benefits the Croatian Scholarship Fund (CSF), a Northern California
based 501(c)(3) charity that provides four-year college scholarships to bright, deserving and often economically challenged young men and women from Croatia and Bosnia-Hercegovina to attend university in Croatia.

CSF is excited to bring the 2Cellos (Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser) to the San Francisco bay area to headline this charity concert.  This is a major fundraiser for the organization and an opportunity for CSF to bring one
of the hottest musical acts in the world to Northern California.

The meteoric success of 2Cellos started when former cello rivals Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser decided to join forces to showcase the cello as an instrument for contemporary music.  In January 2011, they uploaded their own unique cello version of “Smooth Criminal” by Michael Jackson onto YouTube. Within a few weeks, their video was a massive viral sensation receiving over 5 million views. One of those viewers was none other than musical legend Sir Elton John, who personally contacted and invited the 2Cellos to join him as the opening act on his worldwide tour.  Within weeks, the 2Cellos had secured a record deal with SONY MASTERWORKS.  The cello duo covers rock and pop tunes from the likes of AC/DC, Nirvana, Guns & Roses, U2, Michael Jackson, just to name a few.

the concert starting at 7 PM.
