Cinco de Mayo Celebration with Puro Bandido & Los Cochinos

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Puro Bandido
The music is high energy, Latin Rock and was formed in the Mission District of San Francisco. Featuring Richard Segovia, Johnny Gunn, Rolando "Choco" Contreras, Angel Arozco, Rafael Ramirez, Steve Salinas. The members of this band have written and/or performed with the likes of Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Eddie Money, Randy Jackson, Tommy Castro, Kool & the Gang, Tower of Power and more.

More than a refreshing musical group - it is an attitude and eclectic sound that mesmerizes it’s audiences with their incredible stage presence, driving rhythms, soaring guitars and precise musical execution. The music is a high energy blend of musical styles the band calls Border Rock, because they “cross all borders & have no boundaries”. The Sound is a combination of old school and new sounds created by a combination of driving percussion, a rhythm section incomparable and vocals to match.

Los Cochinos
Los Cochinos is a San Francisco based Latin Rock band that plays a unique blend of original music that has been described as “Pure Latin Rock”. The band’s sound has been compared to that of Latin Rock icons El Chicano and the early Santana band. Los Cochinos have opened for El Chicano and many other notable bands and have developed a significant following. The ballad “Feel the Same” has become a hit song for the band and has had radio airtime in both Northern and Southern California markets.

Combine the talent and original tunes written and developed by brothers Alfonso and Ron Portillo; the flair of the percussion sound; the riffs of the horn section; and the effortless vocals; the result is the undeniable San Francisco Original Latin Rock flavor which is Los Cochinos.
