All-Star Benefit for Jimmy Sanchez

Featuring Garth Webber, Roy Rogers, Maria Muldaur, Steve Freund, Ron Hacker, Keta Bill, Pamela Rose, Rythmtown Jive and more!

Join us for an incredible evening of music benefiting Redwood City's own veteran drummer, Jimmy Sanchez, recently diagnosed with adult onset Hydrocephalus. All proceeds go to insure Jimmy will receive the medical care he needs, so he will be able to continue to share his unique blend of tasteful drumming that has moved audiences for the past 40 years.

The house band for the evening is led by guitarist extraordinaire Garth Webber (formerly with Miles Davis, Gregg Allman, Bill Champlin, Kingfish, Dr. John). For this event he brings a truly all-star band of some of the Bay Area's finest musicians and joining them will be a host of special guests - Jimmy's friends. We've listed a few, but be prepared for an evening of wonderful surprises because Jimmy has a LOT of friends.

Jimmy Sanchez' is known for his powerful rhythms, uncanny musical sense, and the ability to draw the best performances from many of the musicians he has played with. Jimmy's extraordinary talent first gave him the opportunity to perform with T-Bone Walker, and Charles Brown. In the 80's, Jimmy toured with Queen Ida, Kingfish with Bob Weir, and Maria Muldaur. By the 90's, Jimmy's list of impressive recordings and performance dates include Tom Waits, Dr. John, J.J. Cale, Boz Scaggs, Bill Withers, Ray Manaarek, T-Bone Burnett, Paul Schaffer, GE Smith, Irma Thomas, Kermit Ruffin, John Lee Sanders, Santa Esmeralda and Ramblin' Jack Elliot (a partial list). His touring experiences include, Roy Rogers, Maria Muldaur, Commander Cody, Jim Chappell and Moonalice, to name a few.
