Catch a Free Show from US Air Force Band of the Golden West 'Travis Brass' in Redwood City

The US Air Force Band of the Golden West presents a FREE concert in Redwood City, CA by the Travis Brass.  This family-friendly event will take place at Courthouse Square located at 2200 Broadway in Redwood City, CA at 6 PM on Saturday, July 12th.  This concert is part of the Redwood City Classical Series.

Travis Brass is part of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West from Travis Air Force Base, California. Comprised of two trumpets, French horn, tuba, and percussion, this ensemble supports a wide variety of musical events ranging from military ceremonies and patriotic shows to educational programs and recitals of original works for brass quintet. To support these events Travis Brass plays music of all styles including marches, jazz, ragtime, classical music, and popular music of today.

The members of the Travis Brass are all professional Air Force musicians working in support of Air Force and Air Mobility Command official military recruiting and community relations objectives.

The only active duty Air Force band west of the Rockies, the Band of the Golden West is comprised of 70 talented and versatile Airmen-musicians under the command of Captain Jason S. Plosch. In addition to performing for civilian communities throughout the states of California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, the band supports 13 Air Force Bases, 8 Air Force Reserve Wings, and 6 recruiting squadrons in over 250 annual performances for 1.5 million listeners. They were also recently presented an Assembly Resolution from California State Assemblymember, Jim Frazier.

The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West is dedicated to using the power of music to inspire our Air Force members and the great nation we serve, producing innovative musical programs and products, and communicating Air Force excellence.

All USAF Band of the Golden West concerts are free and open to the public.
