No idea what to do with the kids this summer? Redwood City has several options.

Does the thought of summer suddenly make you sullen wondering what you’re going to do with the kids? No need to fret, and other organizations offer a multitude of summer camps to entertain your little ones as well as the teens.

For the younger kids, week-long and half-day camps like Lil’ Rascal Camp and Softball are perfect for getting their feet wet.

The older middle schoolers will have a blast in Robotics, Skateboarding and Fencing.

Do you have a future star in your household? Help them unleash their talent at a Summer Performing Arts program for ages 7-14. The two-week program will not only help them learn to sing, dance and act, but it will help them build confidence, creativity and community. The program will culminate in a fully staged production of Alice in Wonderland at .

Or maybe your child is better behind the camera. Fresh Takes, a youth media center, will offer a digital filmmaking summer camp for fifth to ninth graders. There are two sessions: June 20 – July 1 and July 11 – 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Box lunch is included.

The Teen Adventures Camp will give those high schoolers a break from studies while still keeping their minds and bodies active.
