Woodside Home Sells for Record $117.5 Million

The home is the most expensive ever sold, breaking the previous record of $100 million paid for a Los Altos Hills home.

The San Mateo Daily Journal reported Monday that a home in Woodside has shattered the previous record as the most expensive home ever sold.

A "sprawling Woodside estate" recently closed the books on a sale for $117.5 million. That breaks the previous record of $100 million for a Los Altos Hills estate in 2011.

The home reportedly features a pool with an 1,100-square-foot poolhouse, a nearly 800-square-foot detached library, a 700-square-foot "retreat" building, and more.

Vanessa and ctpiazza, Buckley Stone at Pete's Harbor says it is because some time ago the CityRead More dredged near muni and ran a pipe under to spill it out at Bair Island, so it is actually the remains of rotting sea life. He knows so much about this area having been at Pete's for 20 years and knowing so much about the area the tides and the nature and land around here.
