The Bay Area Gardeners Foundation hosted a on Saturday afternoon. Community speakers conveyed the importance of higher level education and the Foundation members provided more information about the 20 $1500 scholarships.

The only free book festival on the Peninsula, the featured 11 local children's book authors. Hundreds of parents and children were able to meet the authors of books they'd been reading for class and even listen to the authors' personal presentations.
