Video: Father Blesses Kaiser Nurses

During National Nurses Week, a Father from Redwood City’s St. Pius Church came to honor the dedicated hospital nurses.

Father Kevin Kennedy of Redwood City’s St. Pius Church stopped by Kaiser Permanente Hospital on Wednesday during the annual “Blessing of the Hands,” a special event to give thanks to the Kaiser Permanente nurses.

The event coincided with National Nurses Week, a time to recognized the professionalism, caring, and healing done by nurses every day.  

Father Kevin Kennedy traveled to all seven floors gathered the nurses for a moment and offered a prayer homage to the sacred healing work our nurses do. He offered a Celtic prayer, which can be heard in the video.

This is a special person who had dedicated his life in the service of others. He has visited the sick and dying to give comfort for many years. When you see him you see the love of God in action.
