This Weekend: A Craft Fair, Truck Day and More

Shake off the Halloween candy haze with some fun around town this weekend!

 

HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR/BENEFIT

When: This Saturday, Nov. 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Redwood City Women's Club, 149 Clinton St., Redwood City

What: Crafters can show off their wares, and shoppers can get an early start for the holidays! Enjoy this historic building while shopping and partaking in complimentary refreshments. Proceeds from the event benefit the Special Education PTA (SEPTAR) and the Redwood City Women's Club.

 

BOOK SALE AT THE WOODSIDE LIBRARY

When: This Saturday, Nov. 3 at 10 a.m.

Where: Woodside Library, 3140 Woodside Road, Woodside

What: Enjoy the library's huge sale of everything from bestsellers to foreign language books, children's stories and cookbooks. All proceeds benefit the Library.

 

TRUCK DAY

When: This Saturday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Bright Horizons Preschool, 403 Winslow St., Redwood City

What: "Truck Day" will feature dozens of trucks of all sorts, from fire trucks and SWAT vehicles to monster trucks and classic cars. Kids of all ages will have the chance to get an up-close look at some of their favorite trucks, and even climb and crawl around in some of them. Additional activities will include face painting, truck washing station, and truck-themed craft activities. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Bright Horizons Foundation for children, a nonprofit organization focused on brightening the lives of children and families in crisis.

 

THE 'CWENCH' PARTY

When: This Saturday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Sparkey's Hot Rod Garage, 975 Industrial Road, San Carlos

What: Redwood City Planning Commissioner Janet Borgens and students from Redwood City's Redwood High School are helping the organization H2Opendoors.org raise funds to install a clean water filtration system in a struggling village in Thailand. Enjoy dancing to a live band, casino games, food and drink, silent and live auctions, a prize wheel and more. There may even be some "celebrity guest" appearances!

Tickets: $100-150 based on the number of tickets being purchased
