Save Those Duraflames for 2014: Tuesday is Spare the Air Day #17
The good news is that it will be smooth sailing for Santa Tuesday night.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is issuing the season’s sixteenth Winter Spare the Air Alert for Monday, December 23, which bans the burning of wood, manufactured fire logs or any other solid fuel both indoors and outdoors for 24 hours.
Although a strong weather system moved through the Bay Area late last week, a high pressure system has set up across the region this weekend and pollution is once again forecast to reach unhealthy levels on Sunday.
