For the third year in a row, teams from local city governments took to the water early on the morning of PortFest to battle it out in a rowing competition.
Joining in the race for the first time this year were teams from the city governments of San Mateo and Foster City.
In each of the first two years of this competition, the team from the City of Redwood City has won the title, but this year, it was the Redwood City Planning Commission who swept the competition, winning all three heats.
Traditionally, the winning team wins the "Golden Oar."
