Kurtis was a talented athlete who excelled at soccer; his CHS soccer teammates honored him before their game on Feb. 1. A memorial service will be held Saturday in Redwood City.

The Carlmont High School boys soccer team paused for a moment of silence before their game on Feb. 1  to remember and honor a former teammate, Kurtis Linnell, who passed away that day.  Kurtis, 21, fought a brave and difficult battle against Ewing’s Sarcoma.

Kurtis was born on November 23, 1991 and was the eldest child of Mike and Monica Linnell of Redwood City.  His younger brother and sister are in high school.
