Mango Creme Added to Girl Scout Cookie Jar for 2013

Find out when and where you can buy your favorite Girl Scout cookies.

It's that time of year. Girl Scout cookie sales are rolling out and a new cookie has been added to this year's lineup.

The Mango Creme, a vanilla and coconut sandwich cookie with a mango-flavored cream filling, joins this year's offering of Thin Mints, Caramel deLites/Samoas, Shortbreads/Trefoils, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Peanut Butter Sandwiches/Do-si-dos, Lemonades, Dulce de Leche, Savannah Smiles and Thanks-a-Lots. Cookies cost $4 per box.

To find out when and where you can buy your favorite Girl Scout cookies, use the Find Cookies! tool at the Girl Scout's website. Just enter your ZIP code and click Go.

The cookie program has helped Girl Scouts practice skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics for more than 80 years.

Alas, my wife, who just went through "Girl Scout cookie training", tells me that the new flavor is available only in certain areas, and not in the Bay Area. The selection of flavors depends on which of a couple of bakers the local Girl Scout Councils use, and our baker doesn't offer Mango Creme.

That's ok. "Mango Creme" sounds kind of gross.
