Christmas Toy & Book Drive Events Continue Tonight
A wrapping party will be held Wednesday night, which could use more volunteers, and special donation drives will take place around town coming up.
A host of local organizations - the Redwood City Police and Fire Departments; the Police Activities League (PAL); Parks, Recreation and Community Services; the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office; San Carlos Fire; Woodside Fire; and the CARON Project - have been hard at work collecting toys and books for low-income families as part of the annual Christmas Toy and Book Drive.
Tonight, members of these organizations and local volunteers will gather at the Red Morton Community Center in Redwood City to help wrap these gifts, from 5-8 p.m. Peet's Coffee in Redwood City will provide free coffee for wrap party volunteers.
