The Redwood City Education Foundation and the Rotary Clubs of Redwood City are hosting the 3rd Annual OktobeRun Half Marathon, 5K, and a new 5Kolor Run.
This remains one of the few half marathons on the Peninsula. The half marathon course is flat, scenic, and largely off-road, perfect for a personal record. Beginning at historic Courthouse Square in downtown Redwood City, runners join the Bay Trail by Bair Island in the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, continue to a gravel and dirt trail next to Steinberger Slough in Redwood Shores, and return. The 5K course follows the first part of the longer course and is mostly on city streets.
New this year is a 5Kolor Run where runners get blasted with colored powder every 1K. So everyone, regardless of ability, can join in the fun and get moving.
After the race, runners and their families are invited to stay for a full day of food, drink, and live entertainment at the new Oktoberfest celebration at Courthouse Square!
Registration is open now. Register for a race:
