Peninsula Bike Party Combats Global Warming

Community bike ride to raise awareness of Global Warming by touring areas of Redwood City at risk of flooding due to Sea Level Rise.

Peninsula Bike Party is a free monthly night-time slow-paced urban social bike ride where everyone's welcome.

This Friday, August 24, Peninsula Bike Party is helping raise awareness of Climate Change with its Global Warming Ride, which will begin at Courthouse Square in Redwood City (Broadway & Hamilton, one block from Caltrain) at 7:45pm.

Did you know that San Francisco Bay could rise up to 6 feet by the end of the century, causing most of the Peninsula to flood all the way to El Camino Real? All of downtown Redwood City would end up underwater!

So hop on your Global Cooling Machine and fight back! Riding a bike helps reduce Global Warming in a variety of ways, by reducing transportation and production emissions, and reducing the need for metals and paved surfaces.
