To Whom it may concern,

This July fourth hundreds of families came to watch the fireworks from Pete’s Harbor as they have for years and years. They were met with an eight foot chain link barbed wire fence and an armed security force turning them away. However, turning around on a narrow road became a driver’s nightmare, especially for the larger vehicles with kids on board. At one point we heard a guard shouting “I think we need to call the police.” This happened when one of Paula Uccelli’s guests had to leave and the gate needed to be opened. The vehicle outside the gate couldn’t move but the guard yelled at them when Paula’s guest was about to leave. In the end the entire length of Bair Island Road became a parking lot with people standing in the street wishing they could see the fireworks show. I’ve lived here for twenty years and this was the saddest July 4th ever.
