Kizomba has nothing LATIN in it. It is an African dance.
It comes from the mix of Semba (yeah not…Read More samba, in fact samba comes from Semba) and Caribbean zouk. Not going to call out all the other fake facts it this article. You should check your facts before lying to your costumers.

Kizomba. Sounds more African than Latin. Who knowa, this may last or go away as fast as the Lambada.…Read More I remember when salsa was just a type of music. Some people say there is no such dance as the salsa. It is like jazz, There is jazz music and you may go to a dance studio to learn jazz dancing, but you don't go into a dance studio and say. "I want to learn the jazz,"

This looks like a great workout too! I like any music with strong African beats, so I'm sure I'll…Read More enjoy Kizomba!

Hi! Wow, that must have been so stressful! It is important to take your gown to someone that does…Read More everything on site, and is hands on with the bride. I offer the option to view before preservation, as well as the option to be present while I preserve the gown. I also work directly with every bride and handle all of the gowns myself, to ensure nothing goes wrong throughout the process. I hope you were able to get your daughters gown back!

Hi, we had my daughter's wedding dress cleaned and boxed just after her wedding and put the box…Read More away for several days before deciding to peek at it just one more time, took the outer box off and peered into the "window" and we're astonished to see it wasn't her dress at all!!! Brides/Moms. Be sure to check to see that the cleaners give you the correct dress!

Good questions Bill. Usually, if under the "jurisdiction" of bcdc I think it's only 10%.…Read More I always heard their control ended over by the port and the channel back towards the city was not covered. I'm sure Pete would have contested any jurisdiction since he basically claimed his lands were not even part of the USA. (see the sign for yourself: http://www.spectrummagazine.net/pdfs/2013_01_SpectrumArchive.pdf) Just down the channel, Peninsula Marina that was gutted in 2000 by the same developer, was also immune from bcdc and well over half the >400 boats were liveaboards. Docktown I don't think has a limit either - just limited space for working boats alot of silt and nice floating homes that never move.

Sarah, you weren't there. Please stop the conjecture and defamation. Duped, are you the Singer PR…Read More firm or another anonymous person with half the facts? Bill, the BCDC and SLC will say how many liveaboards will remain. The SF Bay Marinas for All group has identified itself in public comments to the City and SLC. Unlike other groups and people, we know PR and blogs are not the way to directly impact people. People have called me and continue to do so. We have many constituencies aligned with us, anyone who wants truth and facts and not hyperbole can call me at 650.924.5004. Cheers.

I have been following the articles posted here for some time with much interest. I was a tenant of…Read More Pete's harbor for two years a few years ago so I am familiar with most of the players and activities. I am a little surprised that no one has broached the subject of what the impact would be on future liveaboard tenants with the advent of a successful outcome for the "Save Pete's Harbor group." Most boat owners are aware that the San Francisco Bay Conservation & Development Commission regulates the percentage of liveaboards a marina may have. And we all know the number is quite low. Pete Uccelli was successful in getting the Commission to turn a blind eye as his percentage was very high and unprecedented. In the advent of a possible new public Marina being authorized by the State Lands Commission, I am confident that the number of future liveaboards who would occupy the new marina would be quite low. Does this seem to defeat the purpose of the Save Pete's Harbor efforts?

Jennifer: I really enjoyed working with you on the story about the Barnes family and Ballet America…Read More back in December. Also liked "following you around town" on the other stories you covered. There will be lots of great people and exciting news back east -- not to worry. Best of luck.

I agree, the public has the right to know what they are eating. It is absurd to be purchasing food…Read More that contains GMOs and not be able to know it is in the food....
why the secret if it is so safe???
I will not shop at any food stores that refuse to provide the public with information
on what I am eating or serving to the people I care about.
Trader Joes and Whole Foods have my loyalty for having the courage to stand up
against the big guys and set an example by doing what is right for the consumer
and not folding to pressure from Monsanto, Dupont and the other corporate giants that could care less about our safety and only care about how much money they can rake in.

Thanks Save Pete's Harbor group for your continued work to hep assure that public access remains for…Read More the waterways of Redwood City. This is an opportunity for Redwood City to think about the precious public assets of the navigable waterways and how to best protect and manage these assets for the public, the people of California, rather than just a few local, private interests. We hope the City Council will take the advice of city staff and do the right thing tonight. We do appreciate that the group Save Pete's Harbor will continue to advocate with the city and state for public access. Thanks again.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. You left out the word communist, and you also neglected to blame President Obama.

"Following the lead of Pacifica and So Cal Surfrider Foundation - who has banned smoking on 30…Read More Southern California beaches"
"Surfrider" banned smoking on 30 Southern California beaches? They did nothing of the sort. Perhaps they are happy about it (works for me), but please do not give credit to them for something they did not do.

Completely gross. I'm glad you're working on this issue.

David, it's so true. I was out there on 4/20 picking up trash on the Pacifica beach for Earth Day.…Read More We picked up bags and bags of trash. Half of what we picked up was cigarette butts. It was pretty gross. Maybe smokers could repurpose doggie doo bags, which are usually available in public spaces, as temporary cigarette butt holders.

We thank our teachers from elementary school through graduate school by remembering that spelling…Read More and literacy in the language of one's culture and community matters, that reading newspapers matters, that what we publish online represents their efforts to teach us how to articulate our thoughts and ideas, and how to read with care and consideration the opinions of others with that same thoughtful consideration. We thank our teachers by taking the work they do and the hours and hours of unpaid and free or volunteer work "behind the scenes" and the money they spend out of their pockets to improve the learning environment for their students seriously. Most of all, we thank them by growing up to be civil and to work hard at whatever jobs or tasks we are given in life to the best of our abilities; and if some of that work began with the encouragement and recognition given by a teacher, then that is a joyful word of thanks to all of us who were students and are indeed, today, teachers.
